Hamilton tells the story of America’s “ten-dollar Founding Father” Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the Caribbean who rose to become George Washington’s right-hand man, the first U.S. Treasury Secretary, and the architect of America’s financial system.

Blending hip-hop, R&B, pop, and traditional show tunes, Lin-Manuel Miranda transforms U.S. history into a high-energy, emotionally charged theatrical experience. The musical covers Hamilton’s meteoric rise, his political battles, personal scandals, and his legendary rivalry with Aaron Burr — culminating in their fatal duel.

First performed Off-Broadway in 2015 and quickly moving to Broadway, Hamilton won 11 Tony Awards, the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and a Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album. Its diverse casting and modern music redefined what a Broadway musical could be, sparking a global cultural moment.
